The Queens of The Pwn Age are a web entity out to bring entertainment and fun back to the games reviewing medium. For too long have boring and stuffy sites forced their biased opinion on the gaming community. Too long have characterless, trendy parasites told you opinions that they have been payed to give. Too long has the gaming community been divided. The Queens of The Pwn Age are here to lead us into a bright and somewhat surreal future!!!
A team of crack gamers from Glasgow who decided that instead of going out and getting a life, they would stay in and play games till their arms fell off, The QOTPA formed on the 21st November 2007. Starting life as simply a gaming fansite on MySpace, the QOTPA have evolved and prospered in the interim, becoming Glasgow’s foremost authority on all thing gaming and geeky!
Now the QOTPA Empire spreads across the interent like a a colossus of gaming greatness, encapsulating not only this humble website which is updated every day, but also the Official YouTube Page featuring our video reviews and the always popular QOTPA Play section and also our weekly podcast Headset Abuse. So really, there’s no good reason not to love us!
So what do you QOTPA types do exactly? I hear you yell from your desktops. Well I’m glad you asked!
QOTPA: Review – Our main show airing every Monday, and somethgin we’ve been doing for the past three years. We aim to review the best and most recent games in an informative, funny, stimulating and at times violent and random way. All in under 10 minutes (usually). Games are slanged, praised and gossiped about, and we grant said digital joy a mark out of 10. Few games are granted our esteemed 10/10, and we are constanly on the search for a game that will light a fire in our collective loins (oo-er!). Featuring the the revolving cast that you all know and love (we assume) there is a review and style to suit everyone: whether it’s Mark’s no nonsense factoids, Debz and Ally’s outbursts of joyous excess, or Sean and Darren in their seemingly never ending war to secure the last word, the Reviews are our digital Bread and Butter!
QOTPA: Play – Our late week show, airing every Friday. A literal delight of gameplay footage and randomness brought to you by your favourite Glaswegian Gaming Numpties. We pick a game, new or old, stick it on and film a half hour stint of gameplay with us chatting about the game in the background. I say ‘about the game‘, mostly we just talk daft crap while we play the game usually very badly. It’s pretty hilarious mind! Sometimes painfully so (you ever seen Ally play Dead Space? No, well stay tuned!)
Headset Abuse – Our official Podcast, the domain and dark province of Mark and his whiley ways. Coming to you every Wednesday, the Podcast is usally Mark and two other members of the QOTPA discussing the news, previews and gaming gossip of the week, along with what we ourselves have been playing, served with a healthy dollop of our usual randomness. If it’s happening in gaming, you’ll find out on Headset Abuse. From our dalliances with Battlefield,Darren’s ever-spiralling World of Warcraft Addiction to Ally’s Mum and her impressive Bejewelled career and a constant fascination with Dave’s heritage (JACKIE CHAN!) you’ll no doubt be bewildered and a little bit aroused by our Podcast. Oh, and Nolan North features prominently every week! You have been warned!
